Our Journey to Kenya

In 2017, my husband Brian and I received an unexpected invitation to visit rural Kenya for an outreach mission. That experience profoundly changed our lives. We quickly grew to love the country and its people while also becoming deeply aware of the challenges they face. During this initial visit, we met an extraordinary Kenyan missionary family—Zachary, his wife Elizabeth, and their four children. Their unwavering dedication to Jesus, their compassion for others, and their commitment to reaching the lost and hurting deeply inspired us. We witnessed their tireless efforts to build God's Kingdom, transforming lives through the love of Christ. Over time, we have become close friends and co-laborers in ministry.

What started as a single outreach mission has grown into seven years of ministry in Kenya and recently expanded to other East African countries. We now work alongside Zachary and other pastors, united in our shared vision of advancing God's Kingdom. God has blessed our business in the U.S., enabling us to fund the work He has called us and others to do. As He continues to reveal new individuals, families, churches, and communities in need, we felt His guidance to establish a 501(c)(3) organization. This step allows us to accept donations to expand the ministry's impact while ensuring the work will continue long after we are called home to be with Jesus.

 

We named this ministry "Living Hope East Africa", and through it, we remain humbled by the privilege of being part of God's work in Kenya—a journey we could never have imagined. As Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us"
